Where does the token drop?
The confirmed source is opening chests in Battle Royale during the Treasure Hunters mini season. This page does not identify a specific coordinate or label a particular chest as guaranteed, because no verified location list is part of the confirmed rules. A chest guide should not imply certainty that the reward system does not provide.
The description establishes the event, mode, and action. It does not establish separate odds for different chest appearances, named areas, or play styles. Those details should remain unanswered until verified rather than being filled with assumptions that happen to sound useful.
Chest discovery is also the only acquisition route. A token cannot be bought, traded, or created outside that process. Use a location guide to understand the activity you are doing, rather than as evidence that an outside page can issue the same access or direct you to a guaranteed reward.
How should you think about farming openings?
Farming here means choosing to open chests while playing the confirmed mode and event. It does not mean following a proven route that awards a token after a fixed amount of effort. No verified chest density, route timing, or required opening count is verified, so none is presented as an optimized plan.
You can organize your own movement around the chests you encounter and the way you prefer to play. That can make the activity easier to follow without proving that a specific location changes the reward probability. Convenience and verified odds are different kinds of information.
Epic has never published the rate. As a result, this guide cannot calculate a reliable number of matches, promise access before a certain date, or say that a player who has searched for a long time is due the reward. Keep the extremely rare, random nature of the drop in view while deciding how much time to spend.
Why does a squad receive the same reward?
The confirmed rule is that members of the same squad receive access simultaneously when one member finds the token. The unlock message is "YOU FOUND PIRATE SHOP ACCESS". That explains why a discovery can benefit the squad instead of only the person opening the chest.
This page does not infer the underlying reward algorithm from that rule. In particular, it does not assign a numerical multiplier to squad play or claim that every player contributes a separate known chance. Shared receipt tells us who gets the reward; it does not publish a mathematical model for how it drops.
Nor is squad access a later transfer. Once obtained, a token cannot be traded, purchased from a teammate, or used to gift shop products. Keep the moment of discovery separate from the restrictions that apply afterward. Otherwise, a correct statement about squads can become an incorrect promise about sharing items.
What happens after a winning chest?
Return to the lobby after the unlock. The reward grants a token that can be activated between November 1 and December 15, 2026, plus another for 2027. Each provides 14 days of access after activation, rather than immediately converting every shop product into a claimed item.
Activation takes place through the bottom-left PLUNDER THE SHOP banner in the Item Shop. Select ACTIVATE NOW; console players hold Right Stick. Understand the activation step before beginning, since the confirmed duration runs from activation and is different from the window in which you may start.
The access covers almost all shop goods priced in V-Bucks. Real-money bundles are excluded, Sidekicks may be claimed once per person, and gifting is unavailable. Knowing those limits helps explain what the chest reward actually provides without turning a rare discovery into a promise about unverified inventory or future shop selections.
