Which mode should you play?
Battle Royale during Treasure Hunters is the confirmed setting for this reward. Begin with that requirement when deciding what to play. This guide does not extend eligibility to other modes, because the confirmed rules do not establish them as a source of tokens. A similarly themed activity is not evidence that it uses the same reward.
Treat the search as ordinary chest opening with a rare possible outcome. You are not working through a purchase flow or a sequence that promises access at the end. The difference matters when planning your time: following the right method makes you eligible for a random reward, but does not make the reward certain.
The token cannot be purchased or traded. There is also no alternative way to create access. A page offering a shortcut does not replace the in-game chest requirement. Keep the search inside the confirmed Battle Royale activity, and use outside guides to understand the rules rather than to obtain the reward itself.
Which chests should you open?
The confirmed instruction is to open chests. There is no verified coordinate, named route, or specific chest in the confirmed information that can be presented as a reliable token source. This page therefore does not mark a supposed winning location or tell you that one chest design has better odds.
You may choose a route that makes chest opening convenient for your own play. That is an organizational choice, rather than a proven increase in the chance attached to any opening. Do not confuse being comfortable with a route with having discovered a special reward rule.
Epic has never published the drop probability. No exact chest total can consequently be used as a target for obtaining access. If a guide says to keep opening until a certain number, that number is not supported here. The confirmed method remains the same without an invented target.
How does squad access work?
When a member of your squad finds the reward, the same squad receives Pirate Shop Access simultaneously. Look for the message "YOU FOUND PIRATE SHOP ACCESS". That message identifies the unlock; an ordinary chest result should not be treated as a token waiting to be activated.
Shared access applies at the discovery stage. It does not mean a token can later be traded, purchased from a teammate, or given to a different player. Those are different actions, and the confirmed rules do not allow them. Playing together and transferring a reward afterward are not interchangeable.
This shared outcome explains why squad members may all have access from the same discovery. It is not a published probability multiplier. Without official odds or a fuller explanation of the random process, assigning a numerical improvement to squad play would go beyond the confirmed information.
What should you do after the unlock?
Return to the lobby after finding access. You receive two tokens: the first for activation between November 1 and December 15, 2026, and another for 2027. Each activation lasts 14 days. Obtaining the reward is therefore only the first decision; starting your access is a separate action.
In the Item Shop, use the bottom-left PLUNDER THE SHOP banner and select ACTIVATE NOW. On console, hold Right Stick. Read the activation information before beginning and remember that the access has exclusions: real-money bundles are outside it, Sidekicks are limited to one claim per person, and gifting is unavailable.
